Pure Fantasy

I’ve been indulging myself in this artwork over the past few weeks. This is pen and India ink rendered using techniques that I’ve been practising with over the past year. I feel I’m really getting into my stride with this and more confident in what I can achieve. That’s the great thing about being creative. Always learning and pushing the boundaries.

I love deep dark forests with glimpses of mountains and misty lakes and this started with a photo of a big old tree leaning across the landscape. The medieval figures just seem more fitting than modern day hikers.
