Light in the Darkness
I felt compelled to do this piece in the midst of our troubled times. With so many changes and global issues going on, everybody is feeling worried and hopless, wondering how we can each cope without losing our sense of hope. Using a more fantasy based theme than I usually do, I used this knight as a reflection of an individual who, no matter what, will be calm and steadfast in the light of faith and trust, looking beyond the problems toward better times.
There are small wildlife in the foreground representing hidden aspects: the owl for wisdom, the squirrel for joy and the snake for defensive attributes.
