No colour to see here.

So I clearly stated in my last post that I would be concentrating now on monochrome, no more colour for me! However, a holiday in the Swiss alps last Spring filled my mind and photo album with visions of green meadows, blue skies and an explosion of colours in the mountain flora. Giddy with this burst of inspiration, I just had to dust off the colour pencils and produce this view that I had while walking down from the Bort gondola station towards Grindelwald, a lifelong favourite destination.

Of course, I had done the same thing a couple of posts ago after a visit to Prague. While I love to work in monochrome, the fact is that some places just work best in colour and so I shall be bursting in colour on occasion but still heavily on the black and white road.

It must be a good drawing because my wife had me frame it to put up on the wall. This Eiger artwork is still available to purchase as an original or as a print on this website.
